The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) conducted an investor awareness session for the employees of Pakistan Television (PTV). The objective of the seminar was to create awareness among the journalist class about the areas being regulated by the SECP and the product suite available to investors for making legitimate and safer investment decisions. The session outlined the SECP’s role as the apex regulatory authority of the Non-Banking sector and its Investor Education’s Campaign Jamapunji. The speaker steered interactive sessions on financial planning and capital markets. The session highlighted the benefits and risks involved for the investor when opting for investment options. The attendees availed the opportunity and enquired about various aspects related to investments and better financial planning. The SECP’s awareness material was also distributed among the participants for their future assistance. The audience commended the SECP’s ongoing efforts of building awareness for the students and professionals both.
